New Paper - Virtualization - Server Consolidation benefits the SMB, too! - Thursday, August 18, 2005
The latest in a series of papers/presentations I've authored which I hope is timeless and describes concepts not often covered, in this case the use of Server Virtualization in a smaller network. Yes, even if you have only about 5 or fewer servers in your network there are products and strategies that will make better use of resources and decrease costs of deployment and maintenance. Describes the configuration of SRVANY and INSTSRV to deploy VMWare Workstation as a Windows Service. As usual, the paper is free for download but requires Site Registration.

The Complete Games of the 2005 United States Chess Championship - Monday, December 06, 2004
No software required, only a Java-enabled Web Browser and you can view the complete games of the top US chess tournament for 2004, completely online. This was an especially fiery tournament where the woman with the most striking upsets didn't even win the title. Follow 16 year old prodigy and champion Hikaru Nakamura, Alex Stripunsky's crushing style, Anna Zatonskih's epic rise and fall, Rusa Goletiani's conquests and all the others who made this one of the most entertaining tournaments ever.
